A new edition of the feminist essay about male antisexism, a book which gathers the feminist perspective of «starting from the self».
The author describes the life of a common man, from childhood to adult age, to show how sexism influenced his growth, his language, his habits, his view of the world. Patriarchy affected the way he played during his boyhood, the construction of relationships with the other sex and with other genders, his couple life, the way he worked and lived in society. Every man embodies prejudices and sexist behaviours, which make him an active part of discriminatory politics.
All of this can be changed, but nobody is born antisexist. Only those men who have a free and critical awareness against the current patriarchy, can live through a new view of relationships among genders. Only in this way men can free themselves from toxic masculinity.
